Agripreneurs Causing Traction In Lephalale!

This month, we are pleased to welcome back our Agri-Entrepreneurs for the Acceleration Phase. They have been operating in full acceleration since the 21st of October 2019

At the end of the three months, EARN was impressed at how the Activation Phase went, but our minds were blown away, undeniably when all the Activation Phase work was implemented in Lephalale by the trainees independently. We thought it should be good for us to share these images because EARN cannot emphasize howgrateful we are that you took our vision and areactively a part of it, making sure that it becomes reality.

The businesses will be producing the crops thatwill be sold to the local markets under African Greeneurs during the 9 months of their Acceleration phase.

The goal of this Phase is to prepare these Agri-Entrepreneurs for the real world, hence they will be running real businesses. They will be granted a monthly stipend. EARN has paid in advance the accommodation for them but they will need to pay it back. The farming tools; tunnels; seeds;water and electricity and everything in between are eased out to the businesses and will be repaid from their revenue. They are required to keep record of their expenses and income and at the end of the Phase the business who brings forth the best bottom line will be greatly rewarded.

The 10 group of trainees have now grouped themselves into four businesses.

The following are the business name sand the crops that they will be producing in no particular order:

1.Green Abundance(baby spinach):Shalate and Diphakane

2.C & J Production(basil):Caneth and Joseph

3.Parch Farming(Wild Rocket):Talita and Thabang

4.Malome Le Bana(Tomatoes and Peppers):Malome Kgabo,James, Maria and Jackson.
